Climax is located in the SW Corner of Saskatchewan, about a 15 minute drive from the Montana border, an hour south of highway 1 (View a map here). The village has a population of 180 and is served by many services and business's. Tourism in the area includes the Grasslands National 
Park 35 minutes to the East, the scenic Frenchman valley to the north and the area is a photographers delight with ghost towns, grain elevators, natural wonders and wildlife throughout. Climax boasts a thriving economy with agriculture, oil and gas thriving in the area. The Great Western Railroad serves the Village and highway 36 north leads you on a short 1 hour and 30 minute trip to Swift Current. Climax was incorporated into a town in 1923 when the CPR built the railroad. The Village was named after Climax, Minnesota by early settlers who were from there.
